Dear Member/Friends of Doune
What an interesting year it has been, I hope this note finds you and yours well and you have managed to negotiate the ever changing Bingo of tier numbers across the country!
Obviously with no events at Doune this year there is very little to report except the fact that we signed a new lease with the estate so when we can get going again the venue is secure for at least the next 10 years.
Having no events but some expenses still to pay (rent mainly) and not being eligible for any grants, the club funds have depleted somewhat but we continue to plan events for 2021 which will include our new event in May for the Classic and Historic establishment, think of it as a precursor to the wonderful Bo’Ness event.
There will be a lot of planning for 2021 as the situation remains so fluid no one can predict where we will be by April but we will make sure we do everything to put on the event, there have been a few events that have run this year and I applaud them as the amount of work put in to get things client was immense.
I hope you are able to meet with those you haven’t seen in a while over the festive season and take this opportunity on behalf of myself and the club to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year.
